It seems 110MB has been down for a while now but the 110MB team haven't posted anything on their service status since October.  There's clearly a problem and logging into the control panel is extremely slow.  Thankfully I'm able to FTP upload through FileZilla to the one site I regularly update but recently I've started to update a site I hadn't touched for two years and I'm getting errors in FileZilla.  Using the 110MB.com file manager also won't let me.  Both my sites are on Box 13 which is still good so it rules that out.

The FileZilla errors I'm getting when trying to upload files are:

553 Rename/move failure: Read-only file system
Error:   Critical file transfer error

Please note connecting and logging in is fine, and FileZilla correctly displays the files that are currently stored on 110MB.com.  The website in question fairoaks.110mb.com still works fine and can be accessed and read on the net easily.  I had thought maybe the files on my HDD were tagged as read only, some were so I went through and removed that, but still the same error.  I also can't change the permissions due to this error:

550 Could not change perms on homepage.htm: Read-only file system

So, why is this happening?  Because I hadn't touched it for two years and it's been marked as dormant?  If I have to contact 110MB then I can't as their website won't load for me to get their email address!

Thank you

Why? The whole hard disk drive on box 13 with accounts that starts on letters A-F, S-T is in read-only mode since 17th October 2011 (my monitor shows a red line for this if you didn't notice). Users on 110mb forum did mention about this, but admins or moderators did not say a word, yet (at least I didn't notice any statement about it).

Why it's in read-only mode? I can only guess that this may be the result of hard disk drive starting to have a problems.

Similar situations were on box 4 and box 12 before and it took many months before being fixed (by moving servers into another location which cause multiple other problems by the way). Little faster fix of similar problem was on box 14, but that was for disk with system files so affected the whole server functionality and not "only" some of the accounts on it.

Considering how much time takes to fix anything on 110mb in last year or so this may be another of such problems that will take at least months. I may be wrong, of course, but... it looks like for me.

Thanks very much Piotr.  I've got yours and the lesley server monitor bookmarked but I neglected to pay attention to the Box 13 red line on yours, yours is much more comprehensive.  It seems I got very lucky with my regular site being in the G-R, U-Z grouping, if that gets stopped as well, as a paying customer I'll be very angry.

It sounds like 110MB's service and support is very poor.  That's terrible, considering some people are paying monthly for certain things now.  I really hope it doesn't get any worse.

Thank you again
